Today we made a run to the Post Office, Wal-Mart, and a geocache. It was a great day. The run to the Post Office was to get some "if it fits it ships" boxes to send some items home. The Wal-Mart run was for necessities. The geocache was to show Tina and Mitch how that is done, walk the dogs, and make a drop for a 'travel bug'. So Mitch helped to find the first geocache and Tina walked the dogs and let us help as Liz found the second cache and dropped the travel bug.
The last of the ladies arrived this afternoon.. Carol pulled in a little weary after the Post Office errand, dumping, gasing up and make the 90 mile drive up US 71. Maggie was so glad to get her and make new friends and renew her friendship with old buddies. What a sweetie!
Mitch fixed dinner this evening...fajitas. She had gotten some beef and I had left over pork chops. She marinated those and cooked them on the stove outside. Nan fixed the 'famous' slaw. Liz brought her spaghetti. I furnished the jalapeno ranch style beans. We finished up with strawberries, banana creme with walnuts sugar free cake, and vanilla yogurt.
Again check Liz blog or facebook for pics.
After dinner, Nan, Tina and I made another run to Wal-Mart. Herschel needed some meds and they were ready to be picked up.
There is supposed to be a bit of a storm brewing north of here with some substantial winds involved. We have decided to watch the weather, but most probably we won't leave until Sunday. Sunday looks like a good travel day. Winds are supposed to be very light and it is to be sunny. We don't mind the rain, but prefer not to drive in rain with high gusty winds. You know, we don't have to do that!
The millers are pretty bad here, too. I thought they were bad at Black Mesa State Park, but they are every bit as numerous and bothersome here.
The rig just rocked a bit. I think the front just blew in here. We will be getting winds gusting to 30 or 35 mph. Rain? who knows it has been predicted the last 3 days. I do plan to try and get the photos uploaded and placed into the blog tomorrow.
Most of the cars are pulling out of the park so I guess the cruising is over for the evening. Good!!!
Can't wait to see your pictures too. Sounds like you were going to get rocked to sleep last night.
